Here's FIFA's latest top ten rankings:

1) Brazil
2) Czech Republic
3) Netherlands
4) Argentina
5) France
5) Spain
7) Mexico
7) USA
9) England
10) Portugal

Would you care to speculate on the final four in this year's World Cup? Here's my choices:

1) Netherlands
2) Brazil
3) Germany
4) Czech Republic

Sorry, but I don't see England reaching the semis. I just hope we won't have to go through the agony of losing yet again on penalties.

England will stand a chance if Beckam takes no penalties

England all the way...

Failing that, I fancy a punt on USA or OZ. They have good odds and people will be surprised by them... they got good now!

After how they played against Argentina, they could well achieve it. But, they don't play that way very often. They're kinda like Man Utd - when they play well, they're unstoppable, but they don't seem to bother half the time.

You also have to remember Brazil have a £50m player on the substitutes bench! Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Robinho, Baptista, Adriano. Wouldn't wanna be playing against that. But neither would I want to play against Gerrard, Lampard, Rooney, Owen or Terry

England to beat Brazil in the final.

USA to be the surprise package - semi-finalists, losing to England (just). Brazil thrashing Italy in the other semi, 4-0.

I think England would have the best chance of winning since 1966 IF they could sort the management out.

I believe we currently have a higher proportion of the world's best players than any other country in the world.

Not only this, I believe we also have some great combinations. Beckham and Wright-Phillips were particularly noticeable against Northern Ireland, even though we did lose.

But of course they need to play as a team, and I don't think Erricson or McClaren are capable of using the resources. McClaren has the passion, but he's no Brian Clough, and Erricson just doesn't give a shite.

But the best chance we had since 66 was when Brian Clough applied for the manager's job. He was turned down because he told the interviewers that things needed to change, and that if he got the job, he would change things from the top right down to the very bottom. The interviewers were scared by this, and thus our best chance of winning a major trophy was lost.

England to beat Brazil in the final.

Oh please no ! We still have to listen to you all go on about 1966 !

On the BBC website you can go through each game and predict the scores and winners.

Rob Estonia would be my second favourite had they qualified :D

Seen alot of international matches here, not a bad team really. (2 - 2 against a full strength Danish team was a good result)

Hoots mon! Denny be like that Jacqui. :)

There are loads of us English who would really appreciate the support of the Scots, Welsh and Irish. I always support Scotland, Wales and both Irelands against *ANY* other country in the world apart from England, as do many English people I know.

So c'mon lassie, don ye Union Jack and get entee the spirit! :)

I dont think I can bring myself to it Dave sorry. Its not that I have anything against the English as after all we are all Brits but on occasions like these when Scotland decide to stay at home to concentrate on domestic issues  I think back to our glorius triumph in 1967.

I dont think I can bring myself to it Dave sorry.

That's okay Jacqui. We still love you anyway. :) And I will continue to support any of our home teams against anyone else.

In fact I wish we could have a united Great Britain team instead of being seperate.

I agree with that Dave. Even if we only have a population of 5 million we still produce some great players and Im sure that a GB team would do well.

I don't care who wins, I just wish they'd stop putting it on TV, it interferes with Corra and that stinks

Football is mega boring and should only be shown in pubs and on sky sport. I would make that law if I was Prime Minister

you see this is the problem.

We have teams like chelsea and man u that go on about how good they are. Winning the FA cup etc, etc.
But what good is this wen half their key players are french or german. They end up playing against us.

It is all well and good buying players to get to the top, but does us no good in the end.

We need to train our OWN players. Then we may actually win.
We are not that bad, i think we made it to the semi finals for the last 3 or four tounaments. So we could do it.

but as i say, keep beckam away from the ball.

I've got some bad news for you.

Not in 2004, 2002, 2000 or 1998, so that's 0/4.

I'll go for Brazil or the Argies. England at an extreme chance.

Holland always get really great ratings, then get knocked out by dodgy opposition.

Looking forward to it anyway. C'mon Rossi, it's your year to shine...
