Hi all

I am looking to learn and teach myself all about video and photo editing. Eventually I would like to create a CD that plays music in the backround while playing some movie clips and a slide show of some photo's.

Any idea's on how to get started or what package I shoudl use.

Cheers

Chris

I'd take a wild guess that you don't have a Mac, but on the off chance, Apple offers 3 choices of video editing apps (http://www.apple.com/finalcut/). iMovie, the low end, Final Cut Express, mid range and Final Cut Pro the professional app. iMovie is a bit too simple, but Final Cut Express, with a manual, isn't too hard to pick up.

Adobe After Effects is what alot of 3D guys use to edit and add sound to movie files.

Chair is wonderful, cheers, but I won't move the thread away from the subject. Try Version Tracker (http://versiontracker.com/) for anything software wise.
