Hi All,

I am very new to building websites but after a few months of quick learning I have built my website and recently started my own local property company. It is basically a one-stop-property-shop for people in my home town of Kilmarnock. It is relatively successful so far (70+ hits per day) but I am struggling to generate decent returns on Adsense. Initially I didn't want any ads on my homepage but I have recently changed this to see if it makes a difference.
Does anyone else have any tips??
Site can be found at www.KilmarnockHomes.com (www.kilmarnockhomes.com/)

Hello Darren,

Before you get your hopes up...I'm afraid I don't have any tips.

I just wanted to say well done on your website. I am where you were when you began a few months back...trying to get my head round getting a website up.

Am getting there but awfully slowly. *Ahem* do you have any tips for me  ?

Good luck on your venture.

Yes my advice is its a rip off. You're better off advertising here for a one off fee of £100 and letting me do all the hard work.. http://www.millionpoundwebestate.com.

You could try overture.com (yahoo's version) the ads are displayed on MSN and Yahoo and are highlighted at the top of the page. See if you can find my site advertised up there?

Dear Darren,

Congratulation for your website - up and running. Mine still sitting in my designer machine :)

Hope you don't mind I'm asking. How did you manage to get the 2 advertisers (Our property and gift) onto your website?

Regards,
Faizi

Hi, Welcome to the forum.

Try this guy Michael Cheney (http://www.websitemarketingbible.com/?cr=pageloader) on advice on how to use google adsense and other website marketing tips. Just put in your e-mail address and name and he'll send you 7 free videos on internet marketing. He's got some useful advice. Mind you, you don't have to buy anything, the info is free.
