if i set up two ad groups under the same campaign and both ad groups have the same keywords, would both ads appear in the results, if that keyword is typed in?

the reason i ask is that i have 2 ad groups and some of the keywords are the same however only 1 of the ads seems to appear, any ideas?

GL > can I bolt on a related question please ?

I set up one campaign yesterday with 2 Ad groups. It looks as though all my settings are the same, but one of the Ads doesn't show at all (although very strangely it did for a short while) so I ran the diagnostic test Google has and it says that my geographic setting won't show the Ad. But like GL's problem, I thought once a setting was done for a Campaign it applied to all ads.

its a strange old cookie the old adwords, with mine it shows up for words that are not contained in other ad groups but if i put in "boiler installation" it only shows the the ad in the older group?

Short answer is no they would not - if you did with 10 adverts you would have the whole of the first page to yourself.

Google would pick the most relevant one depending on your settings.
