Hello all,

I am aware that there are 101 companies offering PPC services out there at the moment. I came across ADRAC, www. adrac .co. uk, and wondered if anyone has used their services before, and could comment on their PPC services?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Regards
Ben

Ask to see some case studies and figures. They are well SEO'd, so look like they know their stuff in that area.

One bit of advice I can give is steer away from a charging model where you pay a % of PPC spend - no point incentivising spending all your PPC budget! :)

I am Head of Seo at Adrac Ltd
I have a team of 10 PPC google qualified managers. (time served and all tested individually)
I over see many PPC campaigns but primarily am in charge of SEO campaigns.
My PPC team work on conversions not traffic volume.
They only deal with campaigns that they can improve.
I can offer you some PPC testimonials but would like to avoid posting them on here. By this I mean ring them up.

Never lead people to think we are google.
searchers is owned by the group and is being redeveloped.
it only sells placements now for 12 weeks. not ppc.
as for not saying who they are? :| Searchers may give it away.:p

What are "placements"?

You choose a term - for example PPC
Then pick type of Placement

Banner - Appears at the top of the page for that term or related terms such as PPC management, PPC advice ..etc
Adboxess like Google adword boxes. Again these will default any phrase that includes the word you have purchase.
You will appear there for a straight 12 weeks regardless of Clicks or Impressions. And these positions are guaranteed.
Once you own that placement it is yours to retain after 12 months

We are relaunching Searchers (http://www.searchers.co.uk) but have delayed due to some funky software.
The idea was to remove spam from the index, but the spider started to list all websites that were involved in a link farm.
You cant imagine how many websites are oblivious to what link farming is.
Anyhow the launch will be a major party and I will send some invites out.
We are hoping these months of planning (and I mean months) will have a good effect.

I'm still confused.

Do you mean adwords content network site placements that are charged per impression?

If so, for which sites?

Sorry about confusion Steve.
They are only displayed on Searchers (http://www.searchers.co.uk).
There is no content network.
I am still trying to figure out WHY someone said we are Google?
There will be a staff meeting where I will be addressing the sales staff about this. The MD has agreed that this will be an instant dismissal offence.

PPC is done for Google, Bing, Yahoo, Facebook.
Searchers does not have a PPC Platform

So do you do PPC for Google or just Searchers?

We've been called by Searchers asking to buy a placement. In fairness they were very clear about where it would be displayed and no mention of Google or adwords. Years ago Alta Vista used to try and sell something similar.

I'm not sure how many people use searchers.co.uk but the results are eccentric to say the least - it really seems to hate my sites and won't display them even if I type in the URL.

The sales person mentioned it would be advertised on Channel 4 - not sure if that happened but I think it needs a lot of work before any big marketing push.

In your case i would choose shoes.
This would capture small shoes, small sized shoes, black small shoes etc .....
More traffic more chance of sale.

Yeah we did some TV campaigns.
The problem was when i came to work here i started to ask questions about the website.
I actually got some good points from people on here (thanks in case i never mentioned it) and they were all valid points.
Since then the new Cyril spider has been updated and improved vastly.

Just checked completion dates and we are hoping that the official launch will be In a few weeks time
When the new update is launched I will post on here and across the UK.
Again i dont think it will be perfect but will spend the next few weeks fine tuning any problems.

There will however be a change in the advertising placements available.
The Banner will be removed and replace with an enhanced listing.
This will have a company logo and a description and will remain at the top for relevant terms.

I will be offering discounted positions to any Forum member.

I have no idea if adrac is good or bad, what I will say is that the seo field has more con artists and what I call "spielers" I.e talk like there matt cutts but in actual fact you probably know as much than any other industry, from my experience only use a company that comes recommended.

Having used Adrac / More Than Finance / Net Movers and whatever other names that bunch go under, I cannot recommend them. No end of problems, a complete lack of customer service and employees moving between the companies to avoid taking calls when things go wrong. A very frustrating and costly experience in terms of time and money. Best avoided in my experience.

To help (people who need to locate the owner) - Reach global is the main head company. Below it fall Biproducts and Adrac. There are also separate entities which are still in the same building "netmovers", Searchers and More than Finance.

Netmovers is still a viable service for selling property, buit other companies have now jumped on the band wagon.
Searchers was a UK based Search engine project that had a lot of potential, but has since hit a back burner (have no idea why?)
More than finanace - I have no idea about where it has gone or how it is run.
If you have issues best person to Speak to is Israr Sarwar or Sohail Sarwar.
Staff will always avoid getting commissions clawed back.

Hope that helps
