I need to send a 2.5gb file to someone. The file can't be split or zipped.
Many of the free services are limited to 2GB and the 5GB ones appear to be pretty unreliable, as I keep getting timeouts.
Does anyone have an FTP site that I could use to upload/download the fiile, please?
Only need the space for half a day or so.
Many thanks in advance
Craig

Use dropbox.com.
Use https://www.getdropbox.com/referrals/NTEyMzYwOTk5 link and me and you will both get extra space.

I've already got DropBox - Can I get another 1GB somehow?

My DropBox had 3.25GB on it because of referrals. You could upgrade for one month. Can get 50GB for $9.99.

Sanj is right - you'll get 500mb each time you refer someone to DB.

Right, now I understand. Thanks.
My referral link is:

Would 3 people be willing to trail Dropbox via this link, please?
If you are, please reply to this thread - Only need 3 as that will get my storage up from 2GB to 2.75GB.
Thanks

Huh... really... I never heard of that. Command prompt "copy" command?
For files that big I don't even use windows FTP. Use FileZilla or firefox (download only). But I generally use the hosting FTP site.
So, uh... can you tell me how to do that via windows command prompt?

Not Windoze/DOS command prompt, but the SSH one. FTP is comparatively pathetic at big file transfers. And, of course, highly insecure (unless you're using FTPS).
