View Full Version : Ideas for Writers' Site

Hi there,

I'm not sure if I've mentioned it before, but www.writethismoment.com is one of the web-based projects I co-run for writers who are looking for freelance commissions or staff-related jobs. The site is now into its second year and attracting new subscribers and re-subscribers. We've had some excellent feedback from writers using the site to find work.

The current main income-generation is through subscriptions to the Jobs Board but we're looking for other ways of making the site profitable. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Best wishes,

Carol

Well your site's got plenty of adverts. Are you charging people to advertise?

What are you doing to advertise the site?

Hi Liam,

The only ads we have on site are affiliate schemes. At the moment, they are not really generating much. We have thought of taking advertising but haven't investigated this as yet.

As for advertising the site, we use Google Adwords from time-to-time. Other than that, it's so far been through word-of-mouth.

I just thought I'd add, if anyone has any ideas for Writethismoment.com which could be of mutual benefit, then please do get in touch. For example, perhaps you sell personalised pens or writing-related novelties and wish to set up an affiliate ad link on our site. Perhaps you offer a service to writers and would like to advertise with us? We're open to ideas and welcome your suggestions!
