We have had a 'work experience' accident where two of our P11d (orange forms for PAYE?) have been destroyed; the amounts are very simple as they are for 2 x part time employees (no Tax, No NI, No SSP, No Student loans etc) - can anyone out there help me put them back together please?
I will PM you the details - worrying because of course the P35 year end is due next month!
Thanks in advance!

Do you mean P11s?
I think you do.
If the employees in question aren't earning above the NI Lower Earnings Limit then probably there is nothing at all that you need to do.
But if you want to set your mind at rest just fill in the earnings column with the amount that they were paid each week/month if you still know that.

Thanks for that - I know the figures as they are pretty constant, but I know I have to fillin LEL etc so that they get their NIC contributions awarded, that's why I am worried!

Filling in the LEL isn't hard. It is just the same number every week that the pay exceeds it. And then assuming that pay is below the ET you just put the difference between the earnings and LEL in column 1b. Most of the other columns would be blank.
If you just want to prepare correct P11s and be in a position to print P60s you could use the free edition of our software to run through the year's payments to those people. You only have to pay for our software if you want automatic online filing or one of the other premium features such as payslips.

hi tom,
I hate to say this but I found the software impossible to use, hence we returned to the paper P11's - I actually set up a free account last year, completed the basics, and then couldn't wok out how to use it........
I am blonde though......:)

Gosh, I'm really sorry that we wasted your time, and a little surprised. I can understand someone prefering a different computer system but preferring the paper system is jaw-dropping. I wonder if you were having a bad day when you tried it before.
No pressure, but if you want to try again give us a call and I'll talk you through the process. It should take no more than a few minutes to do the entire year for a couple of staff.
