New EPOS System

Hi,

I am currently working with a couple of my clients on a new network version of my epos system. As I have had other enquiries recently about the same thing, I thought I would ask for input here as well. If anyone has a spare couple of minutes, could they PM me or add to this thread any points they would look for in an epos system.

I know this is only marginally related but i had an enquirey from a estate agent who's system I built.

They wanted to barcode details and then scan them against an aplicant for easy adminstration purposes.

I created a web based EPOS system for shops i used to have.

It used to tell me my busiest time of day, my most popular product, loads and loads of stats.

then I 'gave' it to a friend who had 17 shops and his guys modified it to be much more nice looking and included graphs and all sorts.

I did the same thing for my tanning salon. top left it tells me my top 5 customers this month (and we give them lotion samples etc), top right it shows how many minutes each bed has accrued and when to change the light bulbs.

since we enter their mobile number and date of birth into the system when you join, i am working on having it send a happy birthday text message automagically.

not for everyone.. but works for me.
