Hi
Following on from previous posts, you might remember we'll be offering our customers a discount (5%) on all future bookings they make with us. I was thinking of sending the customers a gold membership card (plastic credit card style).
However, I saw one of creative-keyrings small keyrings last week and it was great! Before seeing it, I wouldn't have considered using them (thinking they might come across as tacky to be honest). But the one I saw was the small size and I for one would have no problem attaching it to my current key ring (it looked quite cute!).
The only info to go on the card or keyring will be our details and nice logo on one side and a couple of words such as '5% discount member' on the reverse. It's just to remind the customer to use us - no membership number or anything else on it.
What do you guys think....... plastic membership card or key ring?

hmm, interesting, I'd never have thought of keyrings since just about everything sems to be a card these days - which would make a keyring different. A card is usually kept in a wallet, usually out of sight, keyrings are sometimes seen by people other than the owner, so maybe someone else would see it thus giving that bit of advertising. Tesco clubcards come one tiny card now - which fits on a keyring....
I know someone that prints plastic ID cards and could put you in touch with them if you need cards doing (I have no idea of cost).

I'd say keyrings, they are harder to loose and nicer than a card:D

How about those little £1 coin keyrings that you use for shopping trolleys that charities have. I'd put one of them on my keys, but not a plastic keyring from a company I didn't use much (I know how cute they are, I have a creative keyrings one at home, but it sits in my kitchen drawer)

I would go with the card.
I put most cards in my purse but dont put a lot of keyrings on my keys otherwise they wouldnt go in my purse !! lol...
A lot of people dont like keyrings so dont carry them ( although I know creative-keyrings ones are really good ) but almost everyone carries cards.

Keyrings are a bit tacky in my view. Card is best. You could even do a 'referrer card' where the person can give out the cards and get a referral fee and on the other side a % discount. Careful thought out and designed it will look good.
I am not sure what line of business you are in and this will reflect which is best. Mousemats, although a bit more expensive but they usually stay by a computer if your business is computer-related.

I would go the key ring. Most of us 'affluent' people have enough cards in our wallest/purses without having the need to jam another one in!

I think I'll try out the keyrings as I can't be doing with yet another card either. They'll be pretty and small (cute I think), and they'll be sent to women in almost all instances.
I can but try...!
