Hi all,

Not sure where to post this as it could fall under several so I suppose general should cover it.
I was considering printing my logo and a few words on the back of envelopes I post, howver someone told me I'm not allowed to do this, I often get mail that has things printed all over the envelope, can anyone offer any advice on this? Can I do it, do I have to ask, or even worse, do I have to pay to do it ?!

Thanks

Of course you can do it...I have enquired about placing logos on pre-paid envelopes by Royal Mail. I don't think it is something that can be done in MS Word without hassle, so a commercial printer might be the cost effective option.

Hi Confused,

I have my logo and url on my envelopes with also a keyring at the top right where the stamp goes!

As far as i know its fine and ive been sending out letters with this design on for ages.

I print them on my laser printer they come out really nice! (DL Size)

I got a good graphics designer to make me the design up and you can view it in his portfolio:

its the 6th one along i think.

Hope this helps,

Regards Callum.

As long as the stamp and address is not effected then you can send what you like. If it is done well it can be a good thing, however too much and it looks like junk.

If you want any doing I supply them and can sort you out. PM or e-mail me.

Thanks all,

I will also be putting them through my laser, I invested in it mainly for letterheads and other stationary and is just perfect - thanks for the offer though Matt. I dont use word for anything but letters and such. I agree that too much will make it look like junk, I thought a subtle (ish) logo on the back with a return address etc would be fine.
As for designing a stamp, I suppose I could print 2 thick black lines with a number 1 between them in the top right hand corner - might just get me into a lot of trouble though !

I also use my laser printer to add a logo to DL envelopes.

Anyone aware of the availability of C5 window envelopes that can withstand the heat from a colour laser printer.
