I have a new laptop which is connected through a secure wireless network, the signal is showing 5 bars (max) and the speed 100.0Mbps, the problem is its taking forever to load up webpages.

Any idea's?

much more detail required. You say its connected through a wireless network, what is the configuration of this, is it a hotspot, or a home network with a wireless router? I'll assume the latter, what type of connection is is (adsl/cable)
Are there other pc's on the network? are they getting the same problems? what happens if you plug the laptop into a port on the router rather than using wireles? If you connect a pc directly to the internet is it still slow? How is the router configured? When you say it takes ages for the pages to load, do you mean it takes ages to FIND the page, or generally loading times. Can you knock the "turbo mode" or whatever off for a while and try it then.
Have to go out, sorry for such a rushed response but it should give you a bit to go on for now.

Hi its a home wireless network (adsl). I have the pc wired directly to the router and 2 laptops which have wireless enabled, all 3 are never in use at the same time. I get the same proplem with both laptops they find the page for example "ebay" it says at the bottom opening page www.ebay...etc but takes anywhere between 1-3 mins for the whole page to appear.

Thanks Greig

ok, seems like a problem with the wireless side at the moment, disable wireless on one of the laptops and plug dierctly into the router and see what happens.
