Magento Problem?

Hi

Im very slowly getting to grips with Magento but i have a problem. Im trying to creating extra content pages and static but they are not appearing on the front end. Im following a user guide which indicates that when creating a new page or block there should be a drop down box called "store view" which im guessing will put the page or block where it needs to be. I cant see this option when i attempt to create these, am i doing something wrong?

after creating the page in CMS-pages go to CMS-static blocks-footer links
and add your page details - be sure the identifier is the same as the page identifier you have used.

thanks for the recommendations

some of the documentation for magento is for older versions than the one you are likely using.

also, people often miss the "tabs" down the left hand side which you click to reveal further sections of configuration etc.

I'm actually going to be adding (tomorrow actually) some CMS stuff to the Magento training course (http://www.edmondscommerce.co.uk/blog/magento/magento-training-uk/) we are running as it is definitely something that people will benefit from a little guidance on.

I will try to do a short blog post tutorial as well, I'll let you know
