Afternoon all,

For the last 12 months we have been working with one of the country's leading SEO specialists designing and optimising a website for the personal injury market. We are at the point where we are ready to launch. Rather than go down the referral route (and in anticipation of the Jackson reforms) we are looking for a partner law firm. The site would be completely personalised to your firm and we would expect to pick up work throughout the UK in every aspect of personal injury.

We are looking for a forward thinking, proactive law firm with a desire to increase business. We have access to administrative support staff and qualified fee earners if neccesary.

For an initial discussion please give me a call on 07595 985211.

Not a chance will you get qualified results in less than 3-6 months. How can you optimise a website that hasn't been launched yet. Only the basics will have been done. i would go back to your SEO and get the real facts.
you better launch website now.
Once you start getting leads then pass them over.
Show me a page one result and then i will send you some details.

Please re-read the post. Could have guessed you would be from the North-West.

Optimisation is about design as well as content. Anyone who understands SEO will know that it is a process which starts with site design and architecture. Thanks for your negative comments. I am not claiming we will be number one on Google from launch.

In which case I apologise for my negative comment.
As from being from the northwest  is that the best you could com up with.
I would point out that basic SEO is done from build.
This will give you the easy positions.
But your website needs to be live to optimise for the juicy bits. (top 5 page one)
Also I have a client on page one for personal injury ...etc so my experience tells me you have not a chance of getting page one within 6 months for the most popular terms.
That is why i said you might as well launch now so that you will have the clients to deliver when you finalise your contract with a solicitor.

Apology accepted. Without going into details we have employed the services of a leading academic in the field to take a new approach to the age old problem of optimisation in the architecture of the site. I am also a qualified lawyer so I fully understand the marketplace and the changes that it faces. I look forward to knocking your client off the top 5 within the next 6 months. :)

If you seriously know a client who wants more work then I suggest you give me a call.

Ali makes an important point - the sooner a website goes live, the faster it can potentially gain organic traffic once it goes live later down the road.

It's long been accepted that Google places probationary restrictions on how well brand new domains can rank for high traffic keyword positions, with the period considered to last up to two years.

For example, it is probably impossible (but for exceptional circumstances) for a domain registered today to rank No.1 on Google for a high traffic keyword such as "mortgages" tomorrow.

That means if anyone has an idea for a website and buys a domain, it is highly recommended to get even a basic holding page (or better still, a couple of basic pages - information, and contacts - as Google apparently handles single-page websites differently to multi-page websites) and a couple of basic links to it, to ensure the website is spidered and indexed by Google.

The time then spent in development until launch effectively negates some of the probationary period, so the time required to really push on the higher traffic generic keywords is - in theory - shortened. Which can result in significant spend savings.

Personal injury is a reasonably competitive market, and Ali's not the only SEO on UKBF successfully active in that vertical. :D

Bottom line for everybody is to warm up domains with basic content - a domain with no pages is only worth the domain - a domain with an indexing history offers far more value, and setting up early can accelerate a campaign once ready to push when live.

Catch 22 situation though. Cant launch without a partner firm other than by registering with the MoJ as a claims management firm, the thought of which offends me!

no i havent been burned. I wouldnt even think about approaching the scum-suckers... luckily they will soon be a thing of the past though, assuming The Law Society gets its way (which they usually do). Thanks for your hep guys and if you genuinely know a firm who wants to get more work with no risk then ask them to get intouch with me.
