Hi All,

I'm signed up for Google Ad Words but wondered how I can get my results to display with links below as per this example?

I use squarespace which is optimised for search engines but the whole thing is still quite a mystery in terms of getting the best results. For example in adwords my budget is £5 per day but I have no idea if this is a sensible amount?

If I do a search on my company name, I appear on the second page with the main results being organisations that don't quite match the exact company name. I would have thought typing in an exact match would result in me being higher up. Obviously understand if somebody searched "telecoms companies" I'd be way lower down.

Thanks, Rob.

those are google sitelinks http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=47334 the easiest way to get them is to have a real good internal navigation structure (hierarchical) and good inbound linking to the pages you want to appear as links (normally the index pages of your sub folders) You also need to be somewhat of an authority on the search term (as sitelinks are search term sensitive).

As for not appearing number 1 for your business name, this is the downside of choosing a keyword rich domain name. you are competing against other sites for a phrase rather than your business name.

Squarespace is not actually optimised for search engines. You have to do this yourself.

As OWG says your website has to have really good content and lots of inbound links to merit a listing like you describe. Google decides what results it will list like this so it's not really worth getting into a sweat about it.

Regarding Adwords, you must monitor the return you are getting from it. Basically, if your £5 per day gets you £20 of business then it would be worth increasing the spend.

If I were you I would try to get a few inbound links.

According to the squarespace manual, the sites created with squarespace are optimised.

you dont want to pay attention to your company name ranking, telecoms companies gets searche 500 - 1000 times a month to rank for that might not be too hard your best off paying an seo and concentrating on your business,

According to the squarespace manual, the sites created with squarespace are optimised.

Sites like this cannot be optimised automatically. They require some sort of intervention for the user. This may be through you feeding the website data like keywords and meta content but ultimately you need to know how to do this.
