We have redesigned our site 2 months ago but since than sales have dropt over 50% for no obvious reason. Yesterday I looked in our awards analytics and saw that all campaigns with the landing page not on the homepage head a Hugh discrepancy between click and visits. for example: campaign x - head in the last 2 months 634 visits, 4885 clicks vs. previous 2 months of 2989 visits and 3125 clicks.
I also made a campaign report for the above campaign for the last 2 months and this campaign head Invalid Clicks Rate of 17.6% vs. 4.9% in the previous 2 month.
Than I tested one of this campaign and clicked on the ad on Google search results I got a "page not found” error page, but when I click on the ad in awards it goes nicely to that landing page.
I have contacted my web developer and obviously this will be sorted but can I claim anything back from Google or I'm wasting my time? Is this Google’s fault or developers? Or perhaps my fault?….
