Hello people
Its sunny here in Manchester, I don’t get to say that very often. Anyway I have spoken to a lot of you about your marketing and I still have a lot left to speak to, I will get round to it this week. What I am asking for now if for the people on this forum to do something to me in return.
Last year, a very close friend of mine’s daughter died in her sleep from a heart attack. She was 11 years old and healthy. She died of a form of cot death that happens in infants, she was not ill in the slightest. This happens to 8 children a week.
There is a charity called c-r-y that specialises in this area and they are working on preventative methods to reduce this number. In Manchester we are going to be holding several band nights to raise money for the charity.
I am contributing too. In June of this year I will be taking part in a London to Paris bike ride, I have to raise £1100 and £500 goes straight to the charity. This is a 4 day, 350 mile ride. I am concerned, this is a long long way.
I am looking for sponsors for this trip because £1100 is a lot of money. What I will be doing is offering space on my t-shirt as advertising space for businesses so you get a bit more for your sponsorship. I will be generating a lot of publicity in Manchester because Amy’s death was a big story here last year. This could be the best bit of advertising you have ever bought.
I am looking to sell twenty spaces on my t-shirt for £50 each. For £50 you will get the advert, mentions in all my press releases, links from my website and above all the knowledge and satisfaction that you are helping to prevent children dying.
