Hi everyone

Just found this article and comparison on logo design and copying.

Makes you think about the logo designs we see being sold for £49.00. How much creative skills do you expect to get for that ?

83 pages long! Not even I have time to read all of that, but the first article is pretty interesting. Let's be honest, who is really going to produce their best work for $50? I'd specifically ask to pay at least 6x that, as they wouldn't care otherwise.

What a rip off, they are going to be in trouble now with the copy right people.

But how can you prove that it's a "copy"? There are tonnes of logos that look similar, there are thousands of Web sites that look identical. I'd imagine that is it very difficult to prove, which is why companies get away with it so often.

Yeah, but some of those aren't similar; they're bleedin' identical. What happened to pride of product?

You have hit the nail on the head there Nige.

There is no creation and no professionalism in this.

Unfortunately a lot of start up and small businesses think that £49 will get them a great logo. So people with no experience in design start copying others and selling them on.
