I've just come across the following business;

link removed.

I expect this subject has been done lots on here but I'm very interested in what you guys think. I work in the telecoms sector (b2b) and am trying to launch a new business which obviously requires marketing.

I noticed another thread on sites which offer access to tenders - sounds like most of these sites aren't too great if the feedback is anything to go by.

So, anybody recommend b2b lead generation companies at a reasonable cost? I'm talking high value opportunities in the telecoms sector in terms of the business I operate in..

Cheers, Rob.

I too work in b2b telecoms and have recently begun using two lead generation companies. Our services are suitable for use across all industries but like you we only look for high value contacts. We are due to evaluate in the next week or so and I'd be happy to share our results with you then.

As far as tendering goes, we have been registered on several sites and do our own regular searches. It could be that our services of telecom cost reduction are too niche, but we've found these sites to be next to useless. Not an ideal business model to trawl looking for a tender exactly suitable and then bid for it then wait for weeks to see if we've been sucessful. Better to proactively seek out potential customers instead, hence the lead generation assistance. I would also point out that all public sector tenders are advertised free somewhere so paying a tender search company (one or two of which have been slammed elsewhere on UKBF) may be a waste of money.

Will let you know how it pans out and pass on the contact details if I feel it's been a useful excercise.

Thanks for the replies. I did use a lead gen company last year that totally didn't understand the telecoms market and produced leads which were essentially "the prospect would like to know more" or simple voice rate comparisons. So, not exactly a qualified lead. It was £150 for each lead and you paid for the cold calling data. Worked out quite expensive for little return.
