Installing WHS this evening while I wait for other stuff to gurgitate.
Any pratfalls I should be aware of? Don't think I'll install remote access as a)I don't need to, and b) that seems the fallyover bit.

Back up for what? Just data?
Wouldnt it be easier to buy external/LAN HDD? Or plug another HDD in your current PC?

Agree with the above - just buy a NAS there soo cheap now and as there IP Based you can access and back up from it from your LAN.

Connect it to wireless router to make it wireless HDD :)

When you get your storage, grab a copy of Cobian Backup - it'll let you schedule full, incremental, encrypted backups over your network and onto the NAS.
