Hi, I know I have seen a few posts like this before,
I am looking to have 5,000 postcards printed for us to stick labels on - two questions;
One - has anyone got any anecdotal evidence of response rates etc
Two - what's the cheapest way of getting them printed?
Cheers
Rob

It depends how good the targetting of your mailshot is but rule of thumb many use is 1% to 2% response. Can be higher and it shouldn't be much lower.
Typically a telephone follow up will greatly increase the response rate and should at least double it.

Incentivised mailing can secure an uplift in response rates, i.e. respond by XYZ date for your x% discount etc.

Hi Rob
We can help you on the print, design ane message of your postcards if you like.
In this case I would suggest digital print instead of litho to keep costs down.
Ill send some prices over to you.

we did a set of funny ones that worked well i.e. faster service than a penguin on a jet ski. It was a set of 4 set out over 3 months and had an amazing response rate.

One idea would be to print 500 of one design / copy and 500 of another, test the response and send the other 4000 of the better version.

Hi Rob
I've used http://www.aubergineprint.co.uk/ a number of times. They do nice quality stuff at what I think are rock bottom prices and about every 5 weeks they do 'mass runs' typically in the region of 5,000 which are really cheap.
Hope it helps
Cheers

I looked at the site, one thing I DETEST about websites selling things is when they dont have pcices for goods, I personally dont bother with them anymore. Creocom helped me with my flyer design and I'll be going back soon for some more marketing stuff to be designed and printed.

They're a 'trade only' supplier which is perhaps why they don't show prices. Funnily enough I bothered to pick up the phone to them one day to ask their prices which is why I'd suggested them. I guess not everyone 'DETESTS' sites without prices. :-)

of course not everyone, just that if I find a few sites with prices I can compare, and a few without, chances are I'll not bother calling the ones with no prices, might be just me !

Nope, I'm there too. When buying a product, I want a price. Buying a service, I rarely care if I believe in the value of the person/company.
