I'm just wondering, whats the most extreme thing you or someone you know has done to get attention for, market, or advertise your business??

And did it work?!?!

Twenty years ago I set up a free local newspapers (before they were ten a penny) and we had a motor cycle courier dodging around town all day picking up copy etc and I toyed with the idea of a replica vintage van which would have been signwritten in our colours and logo. Whenever it wasn't in use it would have been left parked up in a prominent place.

How about 5,000-20,000 sqft of aerial advertising space anywhere you want it.

Yep thats why the big players use it, the main cost is the manufacture of the banner. I am now talking to the manufacturers about building a blank banner and fixing much cheaper add ons to it but it will still be quite expensive.

I can't teach anyone to fly but i can help you find a flying school for lessons or trial flights.
Just let me know where in the UK you are and will let you know where the flying school is and how much.

I have done some crazy things in the name of promotion in the past. This has involved dressing up as a carebear (don't) ask, a robot (again, don't ask) and much worse.

They did work but what I find works better is operating an ethical company and actually help my cliends in making infoemed decisions about what printing would be suitable for their businesses.

I have had a good day today!

A few years ago, in a town in Australia, there was a hardware store which employed beautiful, naked women as sales assistants. There was a news report about it on the national TV. As you can imagine, it was very busy. :)

I pole danced naked in the town centre, just to show that having debt isnt embarassing. If I could strip off surely they could share debt issues with me.

No Matt I wasn't.

Loads of people asked me re: outstanding debt, they admired my honesty and modesty all in one. Proved a very successful marketing experience.

That is fair enough. Normally when someone says they have been dancing naken round a pole in a town centre, drink has a played a part.

I think this is aimed at me yet I am not sure why. Please can you explain?

sorry Matt, not aimed at you. i shall explain:

i looked at shaunyg's website (see signature), and that may explain it a little further. Just a light hearted bit of banter!

"dressing up as a robot wouldnt defy you would it?" was again for shaun.

sorry about the confusion!

Cheers,
