Hi,

I am about halfway through a three year contract hire agreement on a car. Due to a change in the way I am running the business I will be doing much less mileage than the agreement allows and it therefore seems pointless carrying on with the hire until the end.

I have spoken to the provider who have given me an early settlement figure which equates to about seven months hire payments. I have also asked if they have any problem with the hire agreement being transferred to another user which they dont.

There is a company called swap a lease which effectively acts as a broker to advertise the remaining hire agreement to other parties, just wondered if anyone had any experience of using them or any other company ofering a similar service? By the way, the cost of using the swap a lease service is £39.00

Thanks in advance

My company has done the same, and I think £39 is a good price

I've transferred leases on vehicles due to business sales etc, and it is very easy to do. They will charge an admin fee, so make sure that the £39 is all you pay, and that you don't get lumbered with an admin fee from the contract hire company as well.
