Hi,

I have recently created a website called Football Forecasting co uk

I see a gap in the market for a well put together website offering Betting Tips on Football.

Looking to make it into a good community aswell.

I am looking for people to help with this.

Hope You dont mind me posting this here.

Thanks!

Welcome from another new member. I like the site, you are right there isn't much out there in terms of betting tips on football. Best of luck.

Op,

I have tried and tested SOOOO many tips websites and guys in my life - at the end, you loose anyway, even with strict discipline :) I have been making 800£ per bet and loosing 1.5k per bet. There is reason why its classified as gambling. If tipster is SO good, then he wouldnt need to sell his tips, he would play himself and make big bucks, simple is that.
All tipsters want, guaranteed money for selling tips - you dont risk with your money, its me who is loosing.
I quit long time ago :)

P.S. After soccer tips I went into casino roulette playing, but got banned from there for making too much money :D

I don't disagree with your opinion at all. I have tried several methods to try to make money out of Fixed odds football betting and came to the conclusion that the only way to make money is to be the bookmaker. However, many people gamble for fun and the site seems to be positioned for that type of gambler which is fine.

This is Very True.

The site will not and will never charge people for our forecast's. You have to gamble responsibly and only gamble for fun.

Thank you for all the warm welcomes and comments.

Much Appreciated.

There is not really a gap in the market. There are a high number of sites and as someone who has been a professional tipster since 2001 (with ESPN) and now runs my own website (footbet dot co dot uk), it is difficult to get yourself heard above the noise.

There are three ways to succeed:

1. Volume of traffic (bad point: it's very expensive. good point: you don't have to be particularly good)

2. carve out a niche. If you are an expert you can make a good living out of a small band of people following your tips (good points: securer income. bad points: you really have to be very good)

3. run a free site with an thriving forum and milk the advertising (good points: you need absolutely no experience at all. bad points: forum users can be fickle when it comes to betting and there are some big players in this market already (OLBG, punters realm, betfair etc...).

I disagree with your man above who claims that all tipsters are fraudsters simply because if they were any good, they'd do it themselves and make a fortune. Some of us don't gamble because it brings emotion into our picks - and that clouds our judgment. I've been a bookie, gambler, tipster, national journalist among other things. I only tip because I'm good at it. And my wife won't let me bet anymore...

That must be becuse you win too much and your bank account is full, can`t fit any more money in it :eek:

Football betting (soccer) is one of those gambling niches that is always going to grow and become popular. In my opinion, the increasing football betting market is just a byproduct of the overall success, and growing attention football receives in the UK. And the more money floating around the industry, the more people will gamble.;)
