I have posted before that im interested in importing from the USA.

I have come accross a website that i like the look of with exceptional stock. What do i look for to see if the company is legit or not. I know people who have been ripped off. I do not want to go to the USA.

Also what are the laws for importing a container to the UK?

Please advise.

Companies must incorporate in a state. Try looking up the company's entry in its state (do a search for 'Secretary of State' and the state name). Also, some companies belong to the Better Business Bureau. This is great because you'll find a list of all disputes associated with that company.

If it's a company near me, I'd be glad to check them out for you.

If they accept payments like western union money transfers there a scam..
Try and pay on Credit Card as you can do a chargeback..Also if the prices is to good to be true it generally is a scam

Legal issues depend on what product is sometime there is a grey import which basically means you can't import that product

Work on sample buys and work up to big orders.
