To all Web Developers

We are looking to have a simple landing page for the http://www.handsongroup.co.uk website

The landing page will feature our branding, logo, bulleted list of our services, contact details, copyright etc. The design should be good i.e. following the concept on http://www.officefordisability.gov.uk

The page should be created in XHTML/CSS and pass W3C validation.

We are not looking to spend much since it is only temporary. Please PM me your fixed fee and provide a link to your best site you have designed. The successful designer will be invited to quote for the complete development of our corporate site

We are looking for a quick but good turnaround to upload onto our servers next week.

'your best site you have designed'

Best design, best features, best validation/compliancy

I thought you guys were web designers, now I’m confused?

Happy to take part in quoting but jsut wante to ask why first of all, excuse my curiosity :)

Thanks

Gary

Perhaps you should have put that question into a PM?

No not really I think it's a straight forward question to ask isn't it?

I checked your existing site out, it says 'we do web design'

Forgive me for asking such a question :(

Gary

My thread had a different purpose and I am not prepared to debate any issues in public. I have had quotes already. If you are referring to http://www.handsongroup.co.uk you will discover on re-reading the original post that we are intending to replace this, so it would be fair to say it is out of date?!

Secondly, we do have an internet company http://www.handsoninternet.co.uk and we do develop sites and we choose who we use to develop the site, whether our own or commissioner a new designer who will have an impartial design perspective.

I don't know why you are making such a fuss over this and just put in a quotation for work your way. Do you always question clients intentions?

By the way, your site taking forever to upload this end and stops at the vTracker

Thanks for the heads up but you're the first to mention it, I think the page loads completely just the tracker stops the blue bar moving accross.

It doesnt affect compliancy so it's not a problem, I even checked it with jaws screen reader as I am a great believer in your cause and take compliancy and accesability seriously.

I'm not making a fuss I was asking a legit question, of which you have now given me a answer.

I don't ask 'clients intentions' but I do ask questions from those who are not my clients and I would like answers :) I am in a fortunate position where I can choose my clients and so I ask questions before waisting time.

With the number of desigenrs/developers on here I'm sure you'll find enough happy to quote.

Thanks

Gary
