I just want to share a great way of advertising with you people, most of you can use this technique, it really depends on your business and if you want to generate more sales.
At MK Printing we are selling more and more of what we like to call ‘mini flyers’. They are exactly what they sound like, a flyer but business card in size. The cards are full colour, double sided and litho printed to ensure the highest quality possible. They are very versatile and can be used for a lot of different businesses.
I first came across the idea of mini flyers when I used to be a club promoter in Manchester. Promotion is a cut throat industry, especially in Manchester where there are lots of clubs. I tried many different adverting methods and carefully recorded how much money was being generated from the amount I was investing. Normal flyers did work but they only returned £1-2 pounds per £1 invested. I then saw other people using mini flyers for a golf sale so I took the idea and was astounded by the results. I got about £6-8 a week back per £1 invested! We saw an immediate change in the numbers coming through the doors.
I have supplied these mini flyers to online clothes stores, DJs (I use them myself!), models, take-aways, hair salons, shops, restaurants, nail bars, CD learning packages, the list goes on and on. What really works well is if you have an offer on the card and if they are distributed to the correct people then the results are simply outstanding. I recently did some cards for an online clothes company that specialises in club wear are hip hop styles. They ordered the cards and on the design they had a simple code, this code could then be entered at the checkout on the website or over the phone and the customer got a 10% discount. They distribute these flyers/vouchers in clubs and record shops and their orders are increasing all the time.
One of the reasons they work so well is because of their size. With a conventional A6 flyer, the vast majority end of up the floor because they are just too big to carry. Mini flyers are 85mm x 55mm so they fit perfectly into wallets, purses and pockets, and they do not get thrown on the floor! The real beauty of them is that because people keep hold of them they are more likely to use them rather or give it to someone else who could use it. If you went out and handed out say 1000, you would get an instant sales surge and you will find that this will last for some time and even months after people will order using them.
These cards are a brilliant way to advertise and because they are fully litho printed you can have crystal clear images on them too, and on both sides! I use them in my company and lots more people are catching onto the idea because they work!
These cards cost a lot less than you think too, how about this for a great price, £99 for 5000 including a full professional design and courier delivery! This might be the best £99 you ever spend on your business and if you use them well they will bring in a lot of sales over a long period of time. Please do not think 5k is too many, you should always be advertising your business so if they last you for a year then it is a great investment.
