Hi Folks.
I am interested in doing door to door marketing to inform people that I am a Local Family Protection Specalist, the short version of Mortgage & General Insurance Advisor and A Will Writer. Im not selling anything as I am aware that I can't cold call for Mortgages, but I can on Wills and Insurance.
Where might I get help writing scripts, making the introduction etc, as I am also looking to put together a canvesing team. Any ideas.:)

Are you a broker for these services? if you are then you need a consumer credit licence. If you are canvassing then you also need that on your licence too.

I have to say I am totally against door to door cold calling and think it should be banned :rolleyes: (for many reasons).

I have a Trading Standards sticker on my door and it is still ignored!

Hi

In marketing we refer to the 3 M's (sorry we all have our jargon!) and that's Market, Media and Message.

In any campaign Market i.e. Where is your target market? is always the first question to ask.

It strikes me that even with the legal issues already mentioned and I totally agree with Elaine's point you are looking at a scatter gun approach. This is neither cost effective or indeed sales effective.

There are many more effective ways to reach your target market. And if you look at the second 'M' Media - Using worn out shoe leather is pretty old hat and I'm not sure it conveys the right message for the sevices you are looking to provide.
