Evening all.
Have any of the IT chaps lurking on here signed up with Fixit Local? I keep toying with the idea as it seems good value for money and theres only one other company within 25 miles of me.
Also, does anyone use them to find a local IT provider? It seems a few people use ComputerRepairsCompanies - if no ones using it, theres little point signing up.
Thank you

Hi David,
I've not used them but it looks like a reasonable site - have they provided you with any references ? proof of work passed etc ?
I would be very interested in dealing with them aswell.
Thanks
Allan.

I called signed up about 3 months ago ..... still waiting for them to call me back! I've emailed them since and called them and still waiting for an 'account manager' to call me
good luck - let us know if you have more success

After doing some research (google) I notice that you are not alone ! it would appear they dont mind taking your money but have little work to pass around.

Had the email back from them.
To sign up for both Business and Home support calls is £10 each per month. They ask they you charge £49.00 for the first hour, and you can set any rate you like for subsequent hours. They do not take any share of the billable income.
However, they do insist that you sign up with the TCA and abide by their terms of practive etc. Thats another £75 per year, with a £25 joining fee.
When i questioned how many calls in the Norfolk area, it was reported around 4 calls per month, but theres no way of tracking how many referals via their website.
I'll do some more research on them - however, theres companies on there that continue to stay on there even though they could come off so it must work for them. I will call on Monday and ask how they find it
