Im just filing out and submitting my Corporation tax online and we made a loss this year of £6219 - so ive put this in the loss section - there are 2 questions - im not sure which one i need to say yes to?
Is a repayment due for this period?
Is a repayment due for an earlier period?
Im not sure which one i need to say yes to?
Also is there anything else i need to fill in or will it automatically work out the rebate?
Is the rebate only limited to the amount of taz we have already paid? How do they know where to take it off?
Any comments welcomed
Thanks
Kim

Is this your first year of trading?
Have you made a profit on the past?

Repayments for an earlier period
Events in the period covered by this return may lead to the company claiming repayment for an earlier period, for example a
claim to carry back trading losses.
If the company makes the claim when it is still within the time limit to amend its return for the previous period we will treat
the claim as such an amendment. The company can usually amend its return within 24 months from the end of the AP. If it is
too late to amend the return we will deal with the claim without amending the return.
Please make the claim on a separate sheet of paper, or in the body of a covering letter, and send it in with this return.
Make sure you alert us to the claim by completing the ‘repayment due for an earlier period’ box on page 1 of form CT600
under ‘About this return’.
from here page 23 or so:

Thank you :) ive jsut be reading the link that you put - seems straight forward. Ive ticked the box saying repayment against earlier period - so ill attach my accounts and submit them and then do a letter about the repayment.
Thanks :)
