Gut instinct is that it's going to be spammy. Do you really want a bunch of people who don't care about your product reviewing it?

Matt Cutts wrote about this a while back. Ok so don't take everything he says at face value but Google can spot the paid review a mile off so don't do it.

Dave, if you just sorted out your site to be a lead generator rather than an information source you would get a lot more work without experimenting with all these gimmicks.

My opinion is of paid reviews is that Google hates it, it's against the law and it's extremely ethically dubious unless you have have a clear disclosure policy

Andy Beard has blogged a lot about this in the past. His disclosure policy is clearly written and available for all to read:

Im not with you graham, thats exaxtly what ive done, my site is completely geared towards leads, even my blog is used for blatant advertising, im not interested in "gimmicks" thats why i wanted some advice on the site above, because i didnt really understamd what its about.

You are the one who told me to write useful "information", thus the 7 money saving tips etc, so which is it information or lead genertaion?

If your going to give advice dont contradict yourself at the same time.

Thats not a dig BTW im just trying to get to grips with this whole seo thing.

If you look at your homepage it's all about you rather than what you can do for your visitors.

So rather than:

"We work on all makes of gas appliances including system and combi boilers, gas fires, back boilers and cookers."

It should be something like:

"We can service, check, repair and upgrade your boiler. Call us for a free quote on 0191 289 3464."

Obviously this is just an example but it tells the potential client exactly what you can do for them and what to do next.

You have a special boiler offer - this should be on the homepage. Put the prices and calls to action in front of the visitor, add images of the boiler so they can see the sort of thing you do.

The 7 tips are good but the page doesn't end with a call to action. Information is good but it needs to lead the visitor to the phone number and a benefit.

I'm not an expert on copywriting but clients who use them have seen a dramatic increase in conversions.
