Hi folks
Just thought I'd write a line or two to introduce myself to this forum.
I'm Darren Jeffs, a DJ in the Northamptonshire area.
I own Big Mix Mobile Disco, a professional mobile disco company.
I've been a DJ now for around 10 years, but only decided to start a professional business on my own rather than working for someone else around 3 months or so ago.
The reason for me joining is pretty simple, it's good to see how other's aproach various tasks in respect of their businesses, I know I've certainly learned a hell of a lot from other forums I take part in. I hope I can pass on my own self-taught knowledge in return.
Catchya later
Darren

Hi folks
I've been running the business for around 8 years now,
Welcome to the forum Darren - technology has changed a lot in your industry in the last 8 years or so, have you got a set of SL1200's or is it all itunes now?

Hi,
No lol I use Dual CD Decks not iTunes, using tunes that are played through a laptop or iPod kind of takes the fun away for the mixing side of things.
I definatly prefer the cd decks and i don't think I'll ever change. :)

Hi Darren,
Welcome to the forum! Lot of potential to generate a good customer base in your line of work I would have thought. Particularly through social networks such as facebook, twitter, your website etc. Good luck and give us a holler if you plan to give your web marketing a boost.

Welcome.
Have you checked out the American DJ SDJ1 http://www.americandj.eu/product_info.php?products_id=1630 ?
They are great - no more burning CD's for every event. Ive used them for a few events and they are really impressive for the price. They don't skip either, not that the memory cd decks do, but it nice to know you can go for a pee without worrying the musics going to stop!!!

Hi - its been a while ...
Having been so busy concentrating on my website I've not had much time to speak on this forum - so my apologies for that.
Thank you for all your wondeful messages!
