I have been having a search for a tester for my web pages and came across this (http://www.instantposition.com/seotest.php) , ran a few pages through the test and have updated pages accordingly handy info for optimisation of your pages.

It's not completely useless but the information is quite basic and only covers a few different aspects of onpage optimization. It's pretty gimmicky really.

if someone has just got there own website and does not have a clue about keywords, would this not be useful to highlight the link between there pages and keywords.

The problem is that unless you understand how to use the information given it isn't really much use.

For example it mentions the meta description. This is not a ranking signal but is very important as a marketing tool.
