"We're all complete muggins"

I think 'For 1 Day Old Children' would be more usable

DUH

I done believe i clicked it as well ! I thought it was going to be something sarcastic like the chicken that used to be on www.here.com (dont bother clicking theres nothing there)
I am so tempted to buy that name just for fun but £25 could be me X amount of leaflets, design work, business cards, etc etc so I wont.

Are you talking about the chicken that you commanded to do stuff and it did. Like a webcam?

From what I remember it was just a chicken that was lonely and said something like "well, here I am at here.com all on my own until you found me, well theres nothing here" or something along those lines.

£25 for a domain name?

I have not paid anything close to that - think I pay around £5 per year!

The more original and funny they are the more they cost.

hmm,

I have paid £7.50 for co.uk and £25 for .com for 2 years, that includes email & web forwarding (hosting is obviously extra)
oh and a certificate from Nominet, where do you get a .com from for a fiver?

MarkPearson

Many sites have domains at different prices.

.co.uk's tend to cost a little more

I get mine from www.godaddy.com

Yes, just checked that cost around £5.50

that does look pretty cheap, but the hosting seems a little dear, the place I was referring to is www.lowcostnames.co.uk which is a uk based firm with people on the end of a phone should you need to call (cant see why you would though apart from the odd password being forgotten!) .

I think godaddy specialise in domains, they are a US based company.

To me a domain name is a domain name I dont see that because they are cheap the service is any better or worse.

I have called godaddy using skype so its cheap and they are always quick to reply to emails.

I totally agree, a fraction of the price, if you just want the name, cant comment on the reliability of hosting or anything else they offer because of course I havnt used them. Goes to show how much people are making on domain names still.

www.here.com (dont bother clicking theres nothing there)

Come on, own up. I wasn't the only one who pressed the big red button that said "don't press" was I?

I'm amazed people are paying £25 for a .com!
