Very, very funny. It's divided into sections from A-Z and every one has some unique way of looking at the subject.

The bit I read (http://news.independent.co.uk/media/article334065.ece) was about the media - but let's be honest, slagging off the media is like shooting fish in a barrel.

Nothing will ever compare to the series C U Next Tuesday on TVGoHome (http://www.tvgohome.com/)

The Plot Against America - Philip Roth

Very good, very interesting and really very scary ... could easily be set in the UK or US in 2005.

Catcher in the Rye

How are you getting on with that? It's on my 'must read' list, but I haven't got around to it yet. There's a serious lack of second hand book shops near me.

The Mayor of Castorbridge - Thomas Hardy,
Don't Wake Me at Doyles - can't remember who wrote it.
Number One Ladies Detective Agency - again can't remember author
Dr Zhivago Boris Pasternak.

Yes, I do read that many books at once. If you can follow the plot of four TV soap operas you can read four books.

I liked Catcher in the Rye - nothing like I was expecting though.

One of my all-time favourite books. It's just a great story. When home-schooling my children from age 11-14, I made this required reading for them. (Poor guys, I hear you say. :))

I'm a Harry Potter reader. All credit to Ms. Rowling for restoring the lost art of reading - in both children and adults.

Other top reads. Not Chick Lit.

Shadow of the Wind - about a book seller in Barcelona

The Kite Runner - about Afghanistan, extremely good, you learn to love the place and are horrified at the same time.

Salem Falls by Jodi Piccoult - all of hers are very good, although the subject matter is not always to everyone's taste (this one's about being wrongly accused of assault, witchcraft, witchhunt).

Bought the kite runner for my husband for Christmas, good to hear it's a good read.

It is a really good read. I'm at the part where Patrick meets the Judge in hospital. I am guessing there is a lot of twists at the end and a big surprise to finish the book off. I hate it when books are like that, I can never wait until I finish it so I read the last few pages to find out what happens. I know I know that spoils it but I'm like a child and cannot control my urges lol

Cheers
