Hi

This is my first time here, Please assist any one,

Monday ( 18/01/10-1500 HRS around)
I tried to deposit £1000 Cash and £500 Cheque into Halifax Bank Inside Machine, but the machine rejected to count notes/cheque, A lady helped me, she failed as well as machine wasnt working properly, She took the money and Cheque along with my CASH CARD to the nearest counter
And asked him ( I read his name ) to do this transaction, he did count the money asked me how much ,i said £1000 , He gave me receipt for £500 cheque only – I didn’t notice as i was in hurry and my Car parked wrongly.
After this transaction i gave him another £1000 Cash for my CREDIT CARD Expanses, he counted and gave me proper slip for £1000,I checked online yesterday (20/01/10) Cheque show about to clear on 22nd and Cash £1000 shows into my credit card, but £1000 CASH doesn’t show into my CASH CARD, I rushed into Bank and meet a guy , he took Photocopies of both transaction ( £500 cheque & £1000 Cash deposit into CR Card) and discuses etc, And told me manager is busy and he got all my detail and he will come back to me today or tomorrow to find out what the ERROR is ?

I asked to check VEDIO recording , he said , don’t have ...!!!!:|

What Should i do ? ANY ONE PLEASE HELP ?

SHUD I ASK for the Following ?
1-
How to make a complaint
If you ask us, we will tell you how to make a complaint and how
quickly we will deal with it. If we cannot settle the complaint to
your satisfaction, you may ask the Financial Ombudsman
Service to look into it. You can contact them at:
South Quay Plaza
183 Marsh Wall
London E14 9SR

OR
2-
Request a DSAR Form - in order to obtain CCTV footage as suggested above. This will cost me £10

I ve been reading all above in this forum, so i know about two options.

Please assist....

Before getting into complaints etc you could see if they sort it out? Give them a couple of days. Unless the cashier stole the £1000 (which seems very, very unlikely, in fact I'd discount this possibility unless you actually saw the cashier put the £1000 in his pocket) they'll have been £1000 over when they reconciled the cash at the end of the day. Now they've got a customer who says he's lost £1000 and that sorts their problem out.

These things happen, it'll all come out in the wash.

The till will be £1000 up and you compalin that you're short £1000. They have to "investigate" ie make sure you're the only customer complaining you're out of pocket and you'll be sorted.

I'm glad it's all sorted, these kind of errors happen often. A large proportion of the time it's all sorted with minimal stress.

Glad it's sorted.
Kind of ironic though considering the 'complaint' in the other never ending saga on banks and cash.

And on this thread there is no need to ask how he or his daughter came to acquire £1,000 (OP - ignore me, private joke with the other members). Glad your issue is fully resolved.
