We're releasing an updated version of KashFlow in a couple of weeks with lots of new features - Sage Compatible, Use with any currency, monthly subscription, etc. And ofcourse the free 60 day trial.

Once it's released then I'm going to be focussing on marketting it some more (we've held of on the marketting for the past couple of months whilst this upgrade is being developed).

We're going to be running some banners on business forums, doing adwords and overture, a little PR, advertising in a couple of magazines, sending leaflets to newly formed LTD companies, talking to business advisors to make them aware of it.

I need some more ideas but I just can't think of any more ways to get in front of small business and start-ups. Can you geniuses think of anything I am missing?

One thing I've thoguht of is getting a leaflet sent out by printing companies with business card orders. But none of the printing companies I've spoken to seem to be remotely interested in this - either if they're paid hard cash or as a contra deal.

Why not try and put some ads on Business Insurance sites?

Many new and established businesses usually check out insurance companies, they view lots to compare prices :D

Hi Duane,
This could be a big call, but what about trying to do a deal with some of the company formation agents whereby you can have them send out a flyer with their welcome packs and other docs. Quite often it's at this time that businesses are starting to look for 'books'etc.

Another one may be the association body of accountants and/or bookkeepers. Have you tried them?

PS, I'll be a candidate for your new version. I'd be quite happy to start my 12 month free trial now if you want some evaluation feedback  Cheers, Nigel

Done that already and got it all tied up : ) Great minds, etc : )

Good idea - now it's Sage compatible I'm a lot happier pushing this via accountants. I'll explore this one some more.

Duane

I've done consultations with a couple of accountants in recent months.

One thing I suggested that worked for them was to go to their bank manager and get recommended to new businesses (it was actually slightly more complicated than that).

Could you go to your bank manager and offer him the chance to give a free trial copy of your software to his new business clients?

Also, is your software something that would be used by a business to help them keep records for their accountants or as an alternative to having an accountant?
