OK,

3 quick questions, for the ladies and the beck-a-likes, your help as always is appreciated.

Would you buy a sarong online?

If yes, what kind of price would you look to pay?

Would you prefer a uniquely designed one-off?

Thanks

I would buy one online yes, an average sarong upto £25. A bespoke one around £35-50

1. Yes

2. Would want a choice from £15 to £25 ish

3. Not particurlarly, should be enough choice anyway. (Although you could offer sarongs with a wedding theme for all the brides that get married abroad - not actually to marry in of course) :D

Yes I might buy one for a gift for someone ( I have a friend who loves them ! )

I would expect to pay around £20-£25.00

I dont think I would order a uniquely designed one though. If there is a good range of colours and styles then I wouldnt need to.

Hope it helps !!

I wonder if you could use the theme: 'Sing a Sarong of Sixpence.'

Cheers, Nigel

Thanks again,

I am aiming for a RRP in the range of £8 - £10, £1.00 postage irrespective of number of items ordered, however I may see if I can squeeze a little more out of it. So hopefully the price is right.

I have access to well over a hundred desings, but startup costs may limit the selection, as having sold a similar priced / markup product I am accutely aware of some of the pitfalls of low stock ordering.

The long term game plan would be t0 look at importing, then offering wholesale alongside retail to push prices even lower and improve margins. Does anyone have experience of importing from indonesia, I had some good experiences with plastic tat from Taiwan, but not dealt with Indonesia, anything I should know?

Thanks again.

D

Also anyone interested in the venture as an equity holder of new company in return for cash investment PM me.

I wear sarongs, but always buy them on holiday so they are really cheap like £3-£5

I like to tie up my husband with them.

What sarong with that?

I love sarongs but I buy them on holiday and probably wouldn't buy one online.

I don't like sarongs at all. I wouldn't buy one on line or abroad or anywhere else for that matter. Personally I think they are dated and tacky. Much nicer to throw a see through dress or an indian style floaty over your bikini or cozzy or whatever if you want to protect your modesty.
