Happy New Year!

Would really appreciate help with this; am creating a unusual kind of auction site, let's not say just what here, but it's 'adult'. I'm good at creating, I don't have technical skills very much.

I expect to make money from the site in a minor way in terms of banners, and later, if the forum part of it works at getting good traffic, would be able to sell the site. It's not a big immediate money maker.

I don't have masses of time to spend on it, really unsure how to get it functioning even nominally. At whatever level of success it has, I'm not the technical person. Do not have money to employ such a technical person, but am thinking, will be able to let people sell other stuff too, non adult, and if this hits off, even marginally, have no idea how to deal with this.

Any ideas of how to conscript help, preferably on a no fee basis at first? Am thinking people could be attracted to help just because of it's nature, and when it starts making money of course they can be paid. Don't have money to publicize it much at first, but I guess that's not really the main issue - I don't have much idea of how to deal with things once I've created them!

Any constructive help would be useful, please. It's not just this arena this question's relevant to with me, it's any idea I have - I don't know, and am not really interested in, the boring stuff of keeping things going. Just love creating. Also, would prefer to work with a woman, women, since I am one. Thanks!

There are many "auction" scripts available to download, most of the mimic the main features of eBay. The technical part is easy in my opinion. The difficult part is actually getting people to use it.

An auction site will live or die by the number of users it has. That is why eBay is soooo popular. I know of auction sites that offer free everything, but they still can't attract enough users. People would rather pay to use eBay than use any other auction site, even if it's free.

Have a look here:

for some auction software.
