Happy New Year Roy :D

Why not investigate Loch Ness, if you found Nessy, you wouldn't need financial backing, you'd be loaded selling film copies

JAYNEEE

Nessie is spelt like that not NESSY !!! ''

I should know, I grew up on the banks of Loch Ness....and no I AM not the monster before you ask !

There is a £1,000000 reward for the person who captures it. Infact I know of a Japanese guy who left his job at Sony and now lives in a mobile home near the Loch. He spends his days touring the place in hope of seeing the creature.

Lol Jayne,

Yes a great idea - we have a heap of gear for the Nessy survey but better things are ahead. Oh its important to say here that we have our main backing thanks and we would survey the Loch to investigate underwater caves where we can send in micro ROVs with sonar imaging and we would not be out to prove the existance of Nessie. Or the lack of any monster. Our efforts would be in looking further where others have not at past remaining evidence. PS The press exposure is of interest, and the excercise although a short one would add Spirit Quest results into the cookpot and thats we want.

Exactly.

Whenever there is a team up here studying the Loch they always get a lot of press coverage.

We did a lot of work for a French company earlier this year. They were interested in investigating the Loch but decided to do something in Russia instead.

I know I am going to get a lot of stick for this ( and no I havent started drinking yet ! ) but I believe that there is something in the Loch. Not a monster but maybe a giant eel or something. I used to go diving there and I can tell you that there are a lot of caves, especially near the castle.

I believe....

Nessy is spelt Nessy in the US and Nessie in Europe we can defend our selves Jayne.

One million is not really enough because to find a living creature might also need a time machine.

Capturing the bones of one doesnt that count for a higher reward in press and a wonderful thing because then we can say there was a Nessie family and the Nessie followers and tourists will be energised even more. maybe it will raise the one million to ten million rewards.

Depends if you believe in the monster theory or not.

I know a few people who have seen something in the water. Even my old doctor. He swears by it.

For me there is something living there. Not a monster of course. A giant eel and family, I dont know.

The number of times people have laughed at me saying that !! ':D'

You have got to know the place to believe it I guess.

I think there is something in the Loch too, not sure what though. Even if you don't find evidence of a monster, people still will not believe there isn't one :D

Whenever there is a team up here studying the Loch they always get a lot of press coverage.

Tom Cahalan, MD of Coding Monkeys Limited, offering professional web design services to small and medium sized companies, will venture up to gain a bit of media coverage from Loch Ness ;)

Especially the people who live and work around the Loch because that is what generates money for them !

I used to live in a very small village and it still gets hundreds of thousands of tourists every year. The buy the t-shirt, book, teddy, visit the exhibition, eat Nessie shortbread and visit the castle.

Theres an idea for you Jayne. Move up to Loch Ness and open a wonderful Nessie bakery.''

Yeah, I would be your first client Jayne !!

Infact, there is a big market for fresh produce from bakers and butchers now. 10 years ago in the Highlands, these places closed down as they were unable to compete with supermarkets. Now there are more and more opening up again due to the demand. Its great for small villages and towns.

I moved away to study in Glasgow and as they say never go backwards I never moved back ! instead I ended up living in France for 6 years !

Now I live about 30 miles north of the Loch by the North Sea. Just as cold if not colder and instead of the monster wecan take a boat out and see the dolphins. Although I never have !! Must put that on my To Do list for 2006 !

Jayne

That would be the first thing i'd do, see the dolphins, I love all wild life and birds. I'd never be indoors if I lived there, sounds great, i'm so jealous.
