Anyone making a fortune from their website

Been trading for just under a year now. Would be interested in hearing from people who have given up the dayjob to make money from their websites. How did you do it? What do you sell? Did you have outside help?

Bit ambiguous. I wouldn't have much without my website, so it certainly earns me money (yet not in the way you're probably wanting to know about) but I hardly earn a "fortune".

But generally, but i feel the reason it may not be doing as well as you wish is because all the items are of a pretty low price and are available in every highstreet and market across the land.

And not that I'm aware but maybe even cheaper than you sell them for?

Maybe target a niche product that is not so freely available?

Sorry no - Im not asking for that reason, Actually Its doing OK. (not enough to give up the day job) but its keeping us going. Was just genuinely interested if any has had a really good idea that has hit the big time.
As far as the prices I am not sure where these products can be bought cheaper- Certainly not by going into town. We constantly chekc against other retail websites to ensure that we are one of(if not the) lowest prices. Would be V interested to know my competition!!
