It's quite easy to join a forum, and take advice, and never give anything back, but what has amazed me about this community, is how businesses are keen to help each other out.

Why am I writing this post? - well it's near to the end of 2005, I've been a member for nearly a month, and there's been some individuals who have really helped and guided me, and I'd like to say a few words about them.

Lindsey - Bojangle Communications
Took time out to speak to me and help focus my mind. Very nice person, with loads of knowledge and experience. Understands the obstacles small businesses face, and very approachable. Thanks Lindsey!

Jonathan - Handson Group
The legal expert! Took time out to read my website disclaimers, and gave me advice on how to improve them. He's always willing to help people out, and as a consultant he is very knowledgeable, patient and helpful! Thanks Jonathan!

Steve - Steve Gibson Consulting
At first I had trouble understanding Steve  because he was using jargon that I had not heard of (what the hell are USP's?! I said to myself) but I've come to realise that these are the type of areas I SHOULD be thinking about. I'm now dreaming USP's Thanks Steve for your help!

Whilst' I've not used any of these services yet, I'd recommend them all - why, because they went out of their way to help me and guide me. Theres loads of other members, you know who you are.. and thank you for your help over the past three weeks!

Feels like the Oscars huh .. I'd like to thank Jayne, my fellow Yorkshire pudding .. thanks for your warm Yorkshire welcome

I'm heading off to Dublin tomorrow so everyone have a great new year and may all of our businesses be successful in 2006!!

Thanks to Darren for the good words - most appreciated.

As for Jayne, never mind 'Ask Jeeves' this forum has an 'Ask Nora' (aka: Jayne) (Nora as in Nora Batty) facility! I can just imagine Jayne standing like Jeeves on http://www.ask.co.uk with her headdress, flowery dress, stockings and rolling pin/broom

Glad I am not in Yorkshire at the mo or I would feel the rolling pin! This will be a New Year shock for Jayne when she wakes up at GMT!

Hi all,
I have enjoyed similar help and assistance as Darren.

Tim Haynes from ER Graphics has been brilliant with printing service, prices and delivery.

Philip Cooper (Crossguard) has nearly completed my Trademark application.

Mark (Bizgifts) provided a prompt service and great product of woolly hats purchased recently.

Alpha and Pilfo assisted greatly in providing some 'legal' documentation.

Lisa 1979 has provided me a means of a simple added income stream.

Claire Mackaness has provided a painting that now adorns my loungeroom wall.

Then, where do I stop with the snippets of good info, friendship and cameraderie?

Cheers, Nigel
