How ti create profile in Facebook

Hi,

I can see some url with the url of www.facebook.com/companyname

If i create, I am getting like www.facebook.com/profile& id=1223224234234 like this.

Anyone have any idea of how to create a profile like the first one

Go into settings, then click username, then change your username. Took me 15 seconds to find that.

I already tried that and if I click that link it is not showing the Wall and Info Tab.

Only If I sign up, it is showing the Wall, Info, Photos and Links.

It sounds like you are using a regular profile rather than a 'Page' which is more appropriate for companies.

Note that to get a 'vanity url' with a Page you require at least a 1000 'Fans'

Setting a vanity URL is easy, just make sure you're logged in and then go to http://www.facebook.com/username

You only need 25 fans now to qualify to change it

Thanks I didn't know that - it used to be a 100 (even though for some reason I typed a 1000 in previous post!)

Yep, you're right, they rolled it out that way to make sure that larger companies got hold of theirs first. I guess they wanted to try and avoid trademark disputes.

Now needing just 25 anyone can get one by pestering their friends and family to signup ;)
