Good evening all
I wonder if anyone could help me out with a quick question
Is it possible to change the name of a Limited company? and if so how do I go about it?? If the company has diversified and is now working in a slightly differenct sector to that originally named, is it also possible to change this??
Many thanks

Changing Ltd Co name is fairly straightforward. You need to complete NC20 (PDF format) (http://www.companieshouse.gov.uk/forms/generalForms/writtenres.pdf) and enclose a fee of £10.
You do not really need to change the 'sector' until you file your next Annual Return, otherwise just download the latest AR form and fill out the relevant section, there is usually no fee for updating. I would wait until you submit your next AR

Changing the name is quite straightforward (assuming that the name you want doesnt already exist).
Just fill in the following form
http://www.companieshouse.co.uk/forms/generalForms/specialres.pdf
Instructions are on the bottom but basically you send the form with a cheque for £10 to companies house.
With regards to changing the sic code just wait until you complete the annual return.

A clone of my posting Alpha! ;)
There appears to be two forms on CH website, the NC19(written resolution) and NC20 (special resolution)
