Hi
anyone know any average office based Weee recycling costs. I am hoping to see if there are any variables across the country.
Thanks

Isn't WEEE just for manufacturers and rebranders, an office doesn't have any cost implication there as far as I understand it... :|

Ah fair enough lol, I genuinely don't know what it is, so that's genuinely what I thought he meant - and I must admit, I did laugh at myself afterwards :D

Absolutely no idea, but my local "disposal experts" are called RDC (http://www.rdc.co.uk). I believe that A2Z (http://www.a2zcomputers.co.uk/) in Loughborough also do disposal. Would be worth contacting one or both for an idea of costs.

Wrong I'm afraid.... :(
Unused Office IT Equipment is the responsibility of the Company that owns it and like all waste there is a cost for disposal.
WEEE can't be thrown in your bin like the rest of the rubbish and costs will vary enormously depending on how much you have and who you go to.
If you try to get rid of your WEEE through an unlicenced contractor or through the local dump then in theory if the Environment Agency find it you could be in line for a court appearance and some quite hefty fines.
Your waste contractor should be able to provide details about correct disposal or you can contact the EA.

variables across the country will probably depend on location of the company doing the collection/recycling. what do you need to know?? I run a weee recycling company so should know.

Hi,
I am based in Chesterfield,
for a large collection there is no charge, unless is hazardous ( fridge, crt, etc )
for small amounts we charge around £20 - £30 depending on what the items are.
hope this helps.
Kind regards
Ben

There are a few recycling plants that are dotted around that will dispose of your WEEE and give you a certificate for it even if you are a business.
You should check these out before paying anyone else if you have means do do so.
Apparently it's very good for the compost.
