Its that time of year again when my PI is due, can anyone recommend a good provider and preferably reasonably priced?

Hi Tony
I use AON (the ACCA's recommended insurers) always found them to be extremly good.

It depends on your circumstances.
If, like me, you're not a member of a professional body, I've found Hiscox to be unbeatable. They have a policy which if you're not in a professional body requires at least 5 years relevant experience. In my case it helps not requiring cover for audit or investment business (two obvious risk areas).

I had in the past assumed that CIMA's recommended insurer would be at least competitive but last year I actually did some shopping around and found most that I tried to be cheaper.
One of the cheapest I found last year (and I didn't have much time to search the markets) was HCC International. at http://www.hccint.com/pi
Its worth completing a few online forms to get comparisons:)

We have found PI Direct to be very good.

My P.I has gone up 45% this year and we have not had any complaints, does this fit with other peoples situations? is it becomming more expensive?

I renewed in June at the same level as the two previous years.
Made me think that I was paying too much in the past!
But of course the market could have changed since then.

I've always used the same one, Alan and just renewed automatically each year as they seemed competitive enough. Will have to have a shop around next time!

We use SBJ Professional who are the recommended ICAEW provider. We have just renewed and our premium has remained the same.
