It's an unusual request but we thought that someone in the aviation business might be able to help. Skylandian Pictures are looking for an aeroplane cockpit or a flight simulator to film a short scene for the opening sequence in the feature film `Displaced' which is being released in the spring. In return, you will get a film credit and also a mention / advert on the official `Displaced' website. We need to arrange the shoot as soon as possible. Is there anyone out there who can help?

Look forward to hearing from you!

Best wishes,

Carol

What sort of cockpit? Jumbo, WW2 fighter etc?
I know a load of folks that have different simulators - MS Flight Sim, Combat flight sim and many others.

Hi there,

We need an actual cockpit that will accommodate two actors with the aim of recreating an alien space-craft. So, anything that has two seats and a control panel would be great.

An alien cockpit could look like anything have you not got a CGI guy or team? Or film them in something else like a plant machine vehicle they have joysticks just add some extra bits to hide the fact it's a plant machine cab.

Many thanks for the link to Tazuk. I have sent him a pm.

Yes, we have special effects crew lined up for post-production but the producer and director want a cockpit or flight simulator. Plant machinery is a good idea. I'll mention that to the guys.

Thanks,

Carol

Ah - I looked into flight sim for a gift for someone a few years back.
Wasn't TOO expensive £150ish for 30 mins or so BUT they try and flog the journey video etc so wouldn't let you film it (I reckon)
There were quite a few places offering it try Googling for Flight Simulators in your area....

Thanks everyone. I've been in touch with Tony at Helivation-uk.com and he's kindly looking into this for us.

Best wishes,
