Do you get frustrated running your business?
I am lately, there seems to be so much to get done, and so little time, I'm already seeing advertisements on TV for next years Summer holidays argghhhh!
:x
What advice can you give me to priortise my work?

For me the the most important question to ask myself is
"Does doing this task earn me revenue?" I find it helps
me to stay focused by prioritising tasks in order of revenue
earning importance.

Lawrence, my answer every time would be no. The tasks I have to complete is really maintaince and updating the websites.
All of my income comes from owners who advertise their holiday home - and marketing and SEO seems to take a back step to making the site look and run good.

I know where you are coming from Darren. I have spent the last few weeks doing marketing/updating sites etc whilst overseas. Not money making and a boring and frustrating chore.
My wife complains that I always find something to do and I spend a lot of time on my laptop rather than watching TV. I am a 'developer' I enjoy development work and it is what I am good at i.e. developing businesses, projects etc. If others don't move at the same speed as I do I get frustrated because I see that as a slow-down.
When I arrived here in Georgia I was so frustrated that I could not work without the internet. Now I am connected I am forever on it and enough is never enough. I will stop when subconciously I know I have done enough work in the day.

I get amazingly frustrated. I spent three hours painting christmas eve and thoroughly enjoyed it. I just wish I had the time to market myself enough in order to get enough work to fund me full time. I want to be my own boss so badly.

it is always a pain in the rear end
Prob is i find faults all the time. Printed off the mag to send to hospital for their staff to look at. to discover some text missing, great
Looked over course material, the VCDs need attention
Now the f*****g website needs looking at again.
Still if was easy we would all be doing it wouldn't we lol

Claire, have you thought about, or tried to have an exhibition in a large shopping centre? I don't know the ones in your area, but you've built up a reasonable CV and portfolio now - it could be a good move for ya!

Try Grays Shopping Centre :P oh yuk... In seriousness, you could try Lakeside and Bluewater which are near you. Many posh people in Brentwood, find out where they linger. Michael Barrymore lives near you ;)

I'm due to exhibit in the Meadow in June, there is a company near me who specialise inorganising exhibitions in shopping centres.
What I really want to do is get a leaflet produced to send out to hospitality venues in the area, approx 500 but although I can design it myself I need someone to re-jig it into a printable format and get it printed for peanuts!
I'll probably post it up in tenders soon.

i think it is only a matter of time b4 i can be fully self sufficient.
Easy as It is only the start, as i commence more ventures some will no doubt fail. but others will surely succeed

Claire, I'm not 100% how much eagle charges, but he does flyer/leaflet printing. Might be worth dropping him a PM.

As do we! Talk to MKPrinting about costs of having it printed.

I'm designing it now and will post it up as a PDF for comment by all of you before asking for a good price.
Dont worry it will be a UKBFer that gets the deal!

I agree with macmyday, Mkprinting would sort it out for you. plus its unlikely i think that anyone will beat his prices :-)
