Hi,

I would like to ask here how I can go about cancelling company shares. Through some misunderstanding and misinformation I was issued 1000 shares in my own company when the company was incorporated. I now want to cancel the majority of these as there is no person that I can transfer the shares to?

Why don't you just keep them? There isn't a difference really whether you own one out of one or 1000 out of 1000 shares, is there?

A share is just like a slice of pie, if you have the whole pie anyhow, it doesn't matter really how you carve it up.

Having more shares does make it easier to get others to invest, but you can adjust the share allocation anyhow.

I have just recieved the form SH03 which the advisor said i could use to 'cancel' some of the shares I hold.

But another advisor I cant do this - the only option would to dissolve the company and open a new one.

So what is form SH03 used for then.
