Hi All,
I have tried to get the answer to this question just about everywhere & failed :(

I have just started a new venture in online gaming/gambling, done all the ground work, development and formed the company but just learnt that its very difficult to get a bank account for a business in online gaming. Someone even told me there is a blanket ban on (UK) Highstreet banks. I found this difficult to believe so called almost all of them and the moment I get through to someone on the phone for an application and I mention online gaming they say they can't help.

Would this mean I need get an offshore account as a final resort or could I use a prepay credit card and link it to the merchant :|

I hope someone can help, Thanks for your time!
Rick

If it is all legit and your background credit checks are ok, then you shouldn't realy have a problem. You will find it difficuilt to open a merchant account but not a business account.

Because you won’t be able to open a merchant account to bank all that money you will make, you need the services of a 3rd party credit card processing company for these type of websites. Not all 3rd party cc's will take you, as you will be considered high risk.
CCBILL, Epoch and GTBILL are the rock solid quality ones most use. They will take an absolute chunk of your profits tho. Be careful and DO your research, there are plenty of sharks out there

I hope someone can help, Thanks for your time!

I'm in a similar situation and have found all you're replies helpful so thanks for posting.Any other info regarding banks who work with online raffles / gaming would be great.
